Purpose
The purpose of the NJHA Library is to contribute to the competitive advantage of the New Jersey Hospital Association by creating a universal electronic window, i.e. "portal", into the vast array of NJHA's knowledge, to shape these resources into strategic intellectual assets; to provide information services that transfer knowledge most effectively and thus assist in developing a workforce highly skilled in the use of electronic information tools. The NJHA Library:
- Provides resources and knowledge management services to enhance the creativity, critical thinking and independent problem solving of the NJHA membership
- Facilitates NJHA's vast array of information into Internet-based knowledge systems that fully exploit NJHA's knowledge resources;
- Manages qualitative, accessible and cost-effective knowledge resources and services;
- Sustains the historical record of the Association.
Established in 1965 as the J. Harold Johnston Memorial Library, NJHA has a long tradition of cooperation with N.J. health sciences libraries and more than 60 years of combined library staff knowledge and expertise with healthcare and general knowledge-based resources and services. That combination of knowledge and experience uniquely qualifies the NJHA library to serve you.
