About RSS and Podcasts - News Services

What's RSS?

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, allows you to receive news summaries or podcasts from NJHA Web sites whenever new information is added. Rather than visiting all of your favorite sites a few times a day, use RSS and you can bring the Web to you!

What are NJHA RSS Services?

We offer several NJHA News Services using RSS to deliver up-to-date news, NJHA publications, press releases and information to your desktop from NJHA's Web sites. We offer an executive summary, with our NJHA Home Page Headlines, and for others interested in more depth, all of NJHA's healthcare topics are available on the New on NJHA.com RSS.

What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an audio file of content that's powered by RSS. Just like a magazine that automatically is delivered to your home when you subscribe, a podcast delivers an audio message in an audio file, directly to you -- without you having to check on the Web site for updates.

Do I need to buy an iPod, MP3-player, or other hardware or audio-player software to listen? No. You can listen right on your computer. You probably already have the right software on your computer, because most computers arrive bundled with at least one audio- or media-player.

Learn More!

If you are new to RSS, we encourage you to learn more about using this invaluable service and click on RSS Help. Everything you need to help you stay current with NJHA is free, easy and at your fingertips with RSS. To use RSS you will need a free feed reader and news aggregator; and the Help section will show you how to get started.
