The Healthcare Emergency Resource Management Information System
(HERMIS) is the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services’ secure
Web-based application designed to collect resource information from hospitals
and other healthcare facilities and agencies. DHSS will use this information to
assist in statewide emergency planning for hospitals and other healthcare
facilities and, in the event of an emergency, to identify and coordinate
healthcare resources throughout the state. DHSS has partnered with the New
Jersey Hospital Association to develop the HERMIS software, to provide training
and to support the program technically.
