Opioid Continuing Education Series
In order to address the ongoing epidemic, the New Jersey Hospital Association's Health Research and Educational Trust is offering this enduring education series for teaching hospital residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals that helps build knowledge, confidence and an understanding of best practices related to opioid prescribing in hospitals.
This educational series tackles a variety of topics surrounding opioid prescribing, including pain assessment, alternatives to opioid treatment strategies, diagnosis of addictions, prescription practices, patient education and outpatient resources for continued care. Topics are presented as articles and webinars and provided in a web-based survey format that collects all data and evaluation responses required for continuing education credits. Continuing medical and nursing education credits will be provided to those who qualify and successfully complete the pre-and post-test questions no later than Aug. 30, 2020. Content will be updated regularly for additional credit opportunities.
This education is made possible, free of charge, by the New Jersey Department of Health as part of opioid crisis response funding from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Thank you for participating in this important work.
