Community Outreach Awards

NJHA is committed to guiding hospital and community leaders to develop partnerships addressing the needs of their community members. More than 20 years ago, HRET established the Community Outreach Awards to recognize hospital-initiated programs that demonstrate prospective identification, creative response, active collaboration and the successful fulfillment of community needs.

The awards focus on three themes: Preventing Disease and Injury; Improving Access and Quality of Care to Reduce Healthcare Disparities; and End of Life Care. Themes may change periodically to coincide with heightened issues and topics hospitals should address.

Winners are notified prior to the awards presentation, which takes place at NJHA’s Annual Meeting.
