The Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey engages in research and educational activities that support healthcare providers as they provide accessible, affordable and quality care, and promote wellness in their communities. HRET promotes healthcare improvement strategies through scientific research and quality educational initiatives and resources, often partnering with federal and state agencies, corporations, hospitals and other healthcare providers.
Each year, HRET keeps more than 6,000 healthcare professionals on the cutting edge of trends in healthcare through educational programs and symposia. For hospital CEOs, trustees and physician leaders, HRET offers an annual Leadership Conference.

Local Funding Partnerships (LFP) program is a national program office of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program office for LFP is located at NJHA through a grant awarded in 1997 to its affiliate, the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) of New Jersey. Consistent with its mission and values, NJHA is proud to be a partner with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in an initiative directed toward improving the health status of not only our communities throughout New Jersey, but nationally as well.
