For the most current HIPAA journal articles use the Rapid Research feature of the American Hospital Association Resource Center, linked below. This service is a live, up-to-date pre-formulated PubMed® database search for HIPAA from the National Library of Medicine. It provides quick one-click access to the journal literature and includes links if available, to full-text online journal sources. The NJHA Library occasionally prepares selected reading lists of journal literature for HIPAA that are included here.

It is updated weekly, so it is the most comprehensive and current source of journal literature on the HIPAA. Once on this Web page, click on either topic, Health Insurance Portability and Accountabilty Act (HIPAA) or Electronics Records Confidentiality to retrieve several hundred journal citations
