HRET Health Research & Educational Trust of New Jersey

Other Initiatives

The Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey engages in research and educational activities that support the ability of healthcare providers to provide accessible, affordable and quality care, and promote wellness in their communities.

Education
Research
HRET Research Department
HRET promotes healthcare improvement strategies through scientific research and quality educational initiatives and resources, often partnering with federal and state agencies, corporations, hospitals and other healthcare providers. Its affiliation with the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) lends access to healthcare professionals, key legislators and decision-makers, as well as experts at universities and corporations, giving HRET statewide visibility and recognition.

RWJ Foundation Local Funding Partnerships (LFP)
Local Funding Partnerships (LFP) is a national program office of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program office for LFP is located at the New Jersey Hospital Association through a grant awarded in 1997 to its affiliate, the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) of New Jersey. Consistent with mission and values, NJHA is proud to be a partner with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in an initiative directed toward improving the health status of not only our communities throughout New Jersey, but nationally as well.

HRET Trustee Institute
Recognizing the important role hospital trustees play in transforming the healthcare delivery system, HRET has developed a Trustee Institute in partnership with the Fannie E. Rippel Foundation, the American Hospital Association and other sponsors. The Institute's educational resources and skill-building programs include regional forums on hospital and health system governance issues, a series of seminars available on video and audiotape, a Trustee Resource/Orientation Manual and a newsletter and audiotape series providing updates on critical issues impacting hospitals.
